A proletarian beginning
The late Shamsudeen Peer Mohammed starts purveying textiles along the streets of Kollam, Kerala — the first thread of what would become SPM & Sons.

The sons take over
Abdul Nasar, Mohammed Nazeer and Malik Mohammed succeed SP Mohammed, expanding the enterprise while holding to his founding principle: the finest rates in the market.

A third generation, still growing
Under SP Mohammed's grandson, Mohammed Ijas, the enterprise enters its third generation — opening one of the largest textile wholesale showrooms in the country.
